It would be most cat breeders’ nightm
are, to come home to find that someone has stolen their beloved cats.
Thought must immediately turn to the health and well being of their feline friends and breeders must ask themselves “who would do such a thing?”
Recently one breeder in Wolverhampton faced just that nightmare.
Four pedigree Bengal cats were stolen from Michelle Hibbs’ garden over the Easter weekend. The value of the cats is thought to run into to the thousands and so far there have been no leads as to who may have taken the cats.
However, Michelle was delighted that one for the four, Simba, was reunited with her after he was handed in to a vets practice and traced through his microchip.
The tale further highlights the fact that what cat thieves strike they are stealing much treasured pets and causing a lot of emotional distress.
Speaking on the BBC news website Mrs Hibbs said: “I can’t understand how people can be so cruel. It’s so distressing to know that they’ve been taken.
“One of the cats belongs to my granddaughter and she is very upset – we are just trying as hard as we can to locate them.”
