The claws are out as a new set of models entre the spotlight

Kitten InsuranceFashion store United Bamboo 2011 calendar is a little out of the ordinary, rather that picking female models the store has used feline models to showcase its new collection.

That’s right the new models hitting the “catwalk” and being “cat-ured” on film are cute as can be cats.

The clothing brand has had miniature “cat sized” versions of its new collection made up for the calendar’s photo shoot- taking the term size 0  to a new extreme.

The idea was the brain child of United Bamboo creative director, Miho Aoki ,with the help of his cat TJ.
Speaking in the Daily Mail Miho said:
“I made my kitty TJ’s clothes with extra fabrics from the United Bamboo collection long ago and took pictures with my friend just for fun,

“For some reason, last year everyone around me were a bunch of cat lovers; my pattern maker, my sales person and my assistant.

“So I thought it would be really fun to make some mini kitty United Bamboo pieces that are fun to create for everyone to try on their cats.”

So far the calendar has received a lot of attention from the media and bloggers alike.  Top models had better watch out as these cats have their claws out and are not afraid of a cat fight to the top.

Cat survives three rifle wounds

Filed under: News — Tags: — awardle @ 3:38 pm

How would you feel if your cat came home bleeding with rifle wounds? A very unlucky cat from Wakefield who was shot in the face three times and nearly hung has been described as one of the worst cases of animal cruelty ever seen.

Cat owners John and Dawn Morvan were horrified when their pet cat Jessie came home bleeding with rifle wounds in her neck, ear and face.

The vet that carried out a greuling two hour operation to remove the pellets from Jessie said that it was one of the most shocking cases of animal cruelty that he had ever witnessed.

Vet Daniel Lyons said, “ If you shot a cat once it would run away, so it must have been incapacitated  or, which is even more blood curdling, two people were involved and one held her down. This is wicked.”

Jessie’s owner John Morvan told the Daily Mail the extend of her injury, “ After she was treated for the pellet wounds, she came back home but went downhill again, so we took her back to the vets and he found ligature marks on her neck and a black blood clot on her toungue. These marks has taken a couple of days to appear and they proved that they had tried to hang her as well – it’s beyond relief.”
